A telegraphed takedown attempt from Green is defended easily by Harris. Green with a lazy takedown attempt #CL2# and Harris counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Harris. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Keiran Green. That's going to take a lot out of him. Harris prevents a body shot from Green. #BC2# Harris's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.#TD2# Green gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Harris working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Green goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Green misses with an attempted mid kick.
Johnson throws a counter high kick but Green was just alert enough to avoid it. Green shoots in but doesn't get the takedown #CL# and Johnson counters by clinching up. Green jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Johnson walks away with a smile on his face. Green gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Johnson throws a body punch but Green moves out of range. Green tries to counter with a clinch but Johnson shakes him off and moves away. Johnson has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Green wants to clinch but Johnson slips to the side#TD# and Johnson counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Johnson stands and throws Green's legs to the side, diving into side control. Johnson trying to control the position but Green is working away. Green trying to remain calm as Johnson controls from the top position.#T1# Green tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Johnson wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. That was a close second round but I would say that Alex Johnson will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters!
