MacDonald is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. #SUB2# Murray has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but MacDonald can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. MacDonald tries to free his leg and advance position but Murray is retaining full guard. MacDonald trying to control but Murray is working from the bottom. #SUB2# Murray looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

#TD# Hale shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Murray is trying to defend but Hale finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Hale trying to mount his opponent but Murray defends it. Hale sitting and controlling from the half guard. #SUB2# Murray is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Hale pulls his head out easily. Hale seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Murray has hold of Hale's hands but Hale slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB# Hale is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Murray has managed to free his arm - good work. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.#SUB2# Murray looking for submissions off his back.#T1# The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Hale connects with a nice short shot to Murray's temple.
