Gastineau prevents Armstrong from improving his position. Armstrong makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Armstrong. Armstrong is pulling down on Gastineau's head to control his posture. Armstrong is trying to control the position but Gastineau postures up. #T1# Armstrong trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! #R1# Armstrong looks to land a left hand but Ngau moved out of range nicely. A head kick from Ngau lands but Armstrong takes it in his stride. Armstrong swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Ngau throws a big counter head kick but Armstrong avoids it with no problem. Ngau looks to throw a body kick and Armstrong cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Ngau ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Armstrong moves away. Armstrong misses with a wild combination.
Ngau now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Ngau connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Ngau lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Ngau misses with a kick to the body.
Armstrong changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ngau tries to avoid it but Armstrong manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ngau to the ground. Ngau escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Ngau misses with a head kick.
Armstrong was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Ngau lands a really nice looking cross but Armstrong seems unphased.
Ngau connects with a single shot there. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Ngau throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Fabian Armstrong. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Armstrong, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
