Tippett drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Tippett is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Tippett sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Duzane's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tippett is looking to advance position but Duzane won't allow it.
Tippett takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Duzane has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Tippett is working away from the top position though.
Duzane is looking to escape.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Duzane tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Tippett has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Tippett tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Tippett's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.#T2#
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Tippett should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Duzane is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Tippett tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Duzane is trying to escape the mount.

Tippett looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Tippett controlling the position easily from mount.
Tippett manages to capitalize on a mistake by Duzane to take his back!
Tippett slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

Tippett is working for a rear naked choke. Duzane is not defending it well and Tippett has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Duzane refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Duzane's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!

In his post fight interview, Andre Tippett started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
