#R1# Beornegar goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. #CL2# Beornegar has Allen Schroeder up against the cage in a clinch.
#TD2# Beornegar turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Beornegar working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. Beornegar lands an elbow. Allen Schroeder pushes Beornegar away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Beornegar gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Allen Schroeder wants to control but Beornegar postures up. Allen Schroeder knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Beornegar on the ground. Beornegar lands some shots froms side control. Beornegar scoring with punches from side control. Beornegar in side control lands a decent elbow. Beornegar cracks Allen Schroeder with a big right hand but Allen Schroeder just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Beornegar working away.#SUB2# Beornegar is working to tighten his grip on Allen Schroeder's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Allen Schroeder has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Beornegar is really squeezing tight and eventually Allen Schroeder passes out! Beornegar breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

#R1# Allen Schroeder is looking to clinch. Matthews throwing a counter right hand but Allen Schroeder manages to avoid it. Matthews circles away from the clinch attempt.
Allen Schroeder tries to clinch up and Matthews counters with a stiff right hand. #KD2# Allen Schroeder drops Matthews with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Matthews looks back up at him and smiles so Allen Schroeder waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
#CUT2# Rhett Matthews's cut is getting worse. Allen Schroeder tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Matthews paws at him with a jab and circles away. Matthews throwing a counter right hand but Allen Schroeder manages to avoid it. Allen Schroeder tries to clinch there but Matthews circles away.
Allen Schroeder is looking to take this fight into the clinch. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Allen Schroeder tries to clinch but Matthews is having none of it. A low kick from Allen Schroeder misses #CL# and Matthews moves into the clinch.#TD2# Allen Schroeder manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Matthews postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Allen Schroeder really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Matthews. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.#SUB# Matthews drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Matthews jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Matthews is working Allen Schroeder over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. #T1# Allen Schroeder wants to sweep here but Matthews controlling him for the moment. Matthews distracts Allen Schroeder with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Matthews won't allow Allen Schroeder to get back to his feet. Matthews content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Matthews working some strikes from top position.#SU# Matthews gets to his feet - Allen Schroeder follows without any prompting. Allen Schroeder wants to clinch up but Matthews keeps it at a distance. Matthews went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Allen Schroeder tries to close the distance and clinch up but Matthews swats him away and circles back towards the center. Matthews switches off momentarily and Allen Schroeder cracks him with a monster right hand! Matthews topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Allen Schroeder dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Allen Schroeder!
