The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Tillman checks a leg kick. Reeves avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Reeves tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Tillman lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Reeves dives in and grabs Tillman's left leg, looking for a takedown. Tillman pushes down on Reeves's head and hops out.#TD2# Tillman bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Tillman working away. Tillman connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Reeves some visible discomfort.
The referee asks Tillman politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Tillman prefers to stall for the moment though.#SUB2# Tillman tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Tillman has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Tillman tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Frost working the head and body with strikes. Tillman regains full guard. Nicely done. Tillman trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Tillman can do anything to dispel that myth. Tillman has Frost pulled in close to control his posture. Frost is looking to work some ground and pound but Tillman has wrist control. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Frost accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Frost doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Frost manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Tillman striking off his back but it's not causing Frost any problems. Elton Frost has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Audell Tillman is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Elton Frost. Well Tillman has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality.
