#R1# Penn stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Penn wants it to stay on the feet. Penn has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as mn is landing a low percentage of strikes. mn misses with a takedown attempt and Penn counters with a stiff right hand. mn has his takedown stuffed and Penn counters with a nice body shot. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mosi mn. That's going to take a lot out of him. Penn misses with a kick to the body.
Penn scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Penn lands with a kick to the ribs.
mn with a poor takedown and Penn counters with a right hand to the body. mn is breathing heavily. Penn lands with a slapping head kick. Good exchange - Penn coming out on top. Penn scores with a jab to the body. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Penn scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Penn lands with a cross. #T1# Penn lands a front kick. Penn lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Penn lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. A solid leg kick lands there for Penn.
Penn is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. mn sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.#KD2# Penn drops mn with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but mn looks back up at him and smiles so Penn waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
#ROC2# mn is rocked!#CUT2# It looks like Mosi mn has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Penn is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches mn flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! mn is out cold! Penn holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Luke Penn! Luke Penn decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
