Abbasov with the counter takedown but Bernard avoids it easily.

Bernard gets caught flat footed, as Abbasov shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Abbasov is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Abbasov loads up on a big left hand. Bernard felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Abbasov looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Bernard can't hide his disappointment, as Abbasov celebrates the victory.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Magomed Abbasov !

Tantalau pulls guard successfully.
Abbasov stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tantalau swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Abbasov looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Tantalau is trying to keep Abbasov in close.
Tantalau is really struggling to control Abbasov but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Abbasov working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Tantalau has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Abbasov can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Abbasov is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Tantalau has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Abbasov is looking to defend but Tantalau has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Abbasov ! Tantalau pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Abbasov taps out and this one is all over!

A relieved looking Mike Tantalau thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Witt enables Abbasov to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Witt manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Abbasov makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Abbasov controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Abbasov has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Witt is looking to stand up but Abbasov isn't so interested in that idea.
Abbasov wants to pass the guard but Witt is keeping the position.
Witt is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

I would just about give that final round to Magomed Abbasov .
