We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Obrien gets back to half guard. Obrien throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Costa blocks it with crossed arms. Obrien tries to land a knee to the head but Costa blocks with his arms.
Costa pushes Obrien back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Obrien tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. #TD2# Costa gets a trip takedown into half guard. Obrien has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Costa is working away from the top position though. Costa passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Obrien! Obrien really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Obrien is trying to stand. Costa postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Obrien looks a forlorn figure.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Costa scores with a couple of good head shots there.
