#R1##TD# Brooks fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Lavanatski sprawls well initially but Brooks persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Lavanatski blocking the ground and pound attempt from Brooks. #SU# Brooks decides to return to a standing position. Brooks scores to the head and body with a nice combination!#TD# Brooks throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Lavanatski was covering up waiting for the punch and Brooks finishes the takedown easily into guard. Brooks throws an elbow that misses. Lavanatski uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Brooks's guard. Nice move by Lavanatski!#REVB# The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Brooks keeping moving, preventing Lavanatski from controlling successfully. #T1# Brooks throwing strikes off his back to little effect.

Brooks slips a nice elbow through Lavanatski's hands, connecting with Lavanatski's forehead. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Lavanatski trying to control but Brooks postures up.

#R1##TD# Case feints and as Lavanatski raises his hands in defense, Case changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Case postures up.
Case being controlled here momentarily. Lavanatski looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Case puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. #SU# Case decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.#TD# Case gets the takedown into side control. Lavanatski wants to get back to his feet but Case is dominant here and he's now got Lavanatski's back! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lavanatski trying to control the hands but Case breaks the grip. #SUB# Lavanatski is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

Case is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish. #T2# The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Case's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.#T3# Case seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Lavanatski for as long as he can get away with. Case is trying to stick to Lavanatski's back but Lavanatski is turning into Case. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Case's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Lavanatski. Case wants to stand and escape but Lavanatski is having none of it. Case walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Lavanatski shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Case eats them both and turns towards Lavanatski to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Lavanatski fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Case looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Lavanatski thinks about the counter body kick. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lavanatski lands a jab to the nose. Lavanatski throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Case on the side of the head. Lavanatski dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Lavanatski's jab looks to have found its range, popping Case under the eye. Lavanatski jabs Case right on the nose. Case blinks but takes it well. Case throws a combination that misses and Lavanatski counters with a lovely straight right hand!#ROC2# Case is rocked! Case gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Lavanatski gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Case is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

#R1# Lavanatski throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Cleveland stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Lavanatski scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Lavanatski lands with a shot to the body. Lavanatski lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Lavanatski keeps Cleveland at a distance using the push kick. Lavanatski lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Cleveland circles away quickly and effectively. Ruben Lavanatski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. #T1# Cleveland steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Lavanatski. That one must have hurt. Lavanatski lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Cleveland takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Lavanatski clobbers Cleveland with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. #T2# Lavanatski getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
