Bonez tries to clinch there but Vigo circles away.
Vigo swings for the body but Bonez moves out of range.
Don Vigo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Vigo digs a good hook to Bonez's body.
Vigo throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Vigo cracks Bonez with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.#TD# Bonez changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Vigo looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Vigo is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Bonez trying to control the position but Vigo is working away. Vigo is trying to get back to half guard.#T1# Bonez scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Vigo to see if he's OK. We've been hearing good reports from Bonez's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Vigo tries to buck Bonez off but Bonez is having none of it. Bonez postures up and lands a big shot to Vigo's brow. #T2# Bonez looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Bonez stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Vigo swivels though and keeps the full guard. Bonez seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Don Vigo dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! #R2# Nice takedown defense from Vigo. No joy for Bonez on that attempt. Vigo swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Bonez takes a body punch but keeps moving. Vigo just misses with a punch to the body.

The crowd cheers as Vigo lands an impressive looking overhand right. Bonez doesn't seem phased though. Vigo connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Bonez momentarily.
