#R1# Banchamek throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Banchamek walks into a stiff left hand from Maynard. No luck with that takedown attempt from Maynard. #CL2# Maynard closes the distance and clinches. Banchamek lands a shoulder strike. Maynard fails to pull guard.
Banchamek softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. A short uppercut from Banchamek. Banchamek lands a left hand that snaps the head of Maynard backwards. #ROC# Maynard is rocked! Come on Banchamek - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Maynard is still on wobbly legs! Can Banchamek finish him? Banchamek lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Banchamek throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Maynards head. This has been an exciting period of action! Banchamek lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Maynard to his knees! Banchamek keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!

#R1# Maynard shoots for a double leg takedown but Jr Vi sprawls well. He's pushed Maynard's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Maynard shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jr Vi as he jumps to the side. #TD2# Jr Vi gets the takedown into side control. Maynard tries to get back to half guard but can't. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Check out the look on Jr Vi's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Jr Vi wants to control but Maynard is keeping him busy. Maynard is looking to regain half guard here but Jr Vi keeps moving and retains side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jr Vi working the head and body with strikes. Maynard takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
#T1# Jr Vi cracks Maynard with an elbow. That is naaassty. A lull in the action here as Jr Vi stalls from top position. Jr Vi scores with punches from side control. Maynard tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Jr Vi wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Jr Vi working the body and head with strikes. Jr Vi has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Jr Vi scoring with punches and elbows. #ROC2# Maynard is rocked! Maynard trying to remain calm as Jr Vi controls from the top position. Maynard looks to move to half guard but instead Jr Vi has passed into mount! Damn! Jr Vi fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Oh Maynard is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!#T2# Jr Vi postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Maynard in real trouble here! The ref calls for Maynard to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
