The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

After winning the bout, Toktogulovich Bakiyev thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.

Poe seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Kilgore is holding on tight.

Poe is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Poe is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Kilgore is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Kilgore flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Poe anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Kilgore and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Poe slips an arm under Kilgore chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Poe has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Poe is squeezing on Kilgore like an anaconda would it's prey. Kilgore fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Montresor Poe!

Sotomayor connects with a left and a right that sees a clearly hurt Poe covering up! Sotomayor comes in with a big uppercut and Poe goes doooown! He's slumped up against the cage, eyes staring blankly into space.
