Alvis scores with a head kick. Hammer tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Hammer misses with a hook. Alvis ducked under it nicely.
Alvis doesn't manage to clinch there - Hammer circles away.
Hammer was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Alvis shoots in looking for a takedown but Hammer manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Alvis's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.#TD#
Excellent takedown into side control there by Hammer.
Alvis is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Alvis is trying to control Hammer's posture but Hammer avoids it.

Alvis has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Hammer is on him like a limpet, forcing Alvis back against the cage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Alvis fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Hammer avoids it really well and circles away.
Jack Hammer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Alvis displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Hammer throws out the jab.
Hammer circles away from the clinch attempt.
Alvis moves in looking to clinch but Hammer pushes him off.
Alvis shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Hammer eats them both and turns towards Alvis to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.#CUT2#

Hammer drives through and clinches with Alvis against the cage.
Alvis tries to land knees in the clinch but Hammer avoids the damage to the body.
Alvis tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Jack Hammer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Devin Alvis.

Alvis jumps into guard, dragging Hammer to the mat.
Hammer lands a couple of digs.
Hammer stands up over Alvis, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hammer is in close to Alvis's body, working some short punches and elbows.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hammer loads up on a big left hand. Alvis felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Hammer looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Alvis can't hide his disappointment, as Hammer celebrates the victory.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jack Hammer!
