#R1# Pent looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Pent shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Ronn sprawls well. Ronn wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Pent gets slowly back to his feet. As Pent looks to move away, Ronn throws a big counter combo but Pent just gets out of the way. Nice takedown defense from Ronn. No joy for Pent on that attempt. #CL2# The fight moves into the clinch position. Ronn is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Ronn tries to break free but Pent pushes him back against the cage. Ronn has Pent pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Pent manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ronn is trying to pull guard but Pent turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.#TD# Ronn is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Pent goes for a double leg but One avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as One continues to drive forward. Pent shoots in for a takedown but One shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. One jabs Pent right on the nose. Pent blinks but takes it well. One lands a lovely overhand right. Pent closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. #ROC# Pent is rocked! One throws an overhand right that has Pent reeling! One follows up with more punches and Pent is out cold! This one is all over!

#R1# Sloppy strikes from Set. Those never looked like landing. Set throws a sloppy head kick and Pent moves out of range easily. Set has been working on his boxing with his coaches at HWRP Gym in the buildup to the fight. Pent throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Set's waist but Set gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Pent off to one side. Set takes a swing at Pent's ribcage but misses. #CL2# Pent darts in and clinches Set up against the cage. Pent doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
#TD# Set turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Set manages to end up in side control. Set knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Pent on the ground. Set is breathing heavily. Pent manages to work his way to half guard, despite Set's best efforts. Pent wants to get back to full guard. Set throwing shots but Pent is blocking nicely. Pent slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Pent controlling Set's posture. #SUB2# Pent has his foot on Set's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Set works his way back into a safe position though. The crowd are loving this. Gomes comes to the cage accompanied by AC/DC - Thunderstruck . David Gomes is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the lightweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of London, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; David Gomes! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Tokyo, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Bj Pent! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Daniel Bishop and Andrew Berry.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Pent shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Gomes counters with a single leg into guard. Hopkins has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Hopkins chips away with some ground and pound. Hopkins working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pent is trying to control the position but Hopkins postures up. Hopkins is working Pent over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Hopkins lands a couple of decent looking shots. Hopkins landing with the ground and pound. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ground and pound from Pent. Klein is not content to let Pent control the position. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Pires wants it to stay on the feet. Pent closes this distance looking for a takedown but Pires circles away. Luiz Pires has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bj Pent.#CL# Pent gets tackled into the cage by Pires. Pires maintains the clinch. #TD# Pires pulls guard. #SUB# Pent has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Pires to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Pent is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Pires pulls down on the head and he's put Pent to sleep! This one is all over!
