Karpin rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but White moves out of range and avoids them all easily. White lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Karpin misses with a double jab.

#R1# Karpin throws a nice looking combination but Slaughter bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Max Slaughter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Karpin throws a right and a left that both miss.#TD2# Slaughter throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Karpin tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Slaughter is in Karpin's guard. Slaughter sitting in guard, not really doing much. Slaughter slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Slaughter has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Karpin! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Slaughter takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Karpin working to try and regain half guard.

and Moser counters with a series of strikes. Karpin will be more careful next time no doubt. Moser thows a left - swing and a miss! Despite the aggression on Karpin's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Moser staying out of range there. Moser swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. No joy there for Karpin, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Moser is looking to counter punch. Karpin looks to land a combination but Moser avoids it well. Karpin scores with a jab to the jaw. A jab from Karpin misses. An attempted straight right counter from Moser misses the target. Karpin has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Karpin throws a jab but it's blocked by Moser. Karpin lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Brian Moser decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.

Costa displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Karpin throws out the jab. Miguel Costa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Karpin works Costa's body with a nice hook. Karpin dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Costa thows a leg kick but Karpin checks it #KD2# and Karpin counters with a crisp one two that drops Costa! Karpin thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Costa to his feet! Costa is in big trouble!#ROC2# Costa is rocked! This has been an exciting period of action! Costa throws a left and a right that both miss
and Karpin counters with a left and a right... and another left... and another!! That last one turned off the lights! Costa has no idea who he is and is as he gazes up at the spotlights. Brutal knockout!

#CUT2# It looks like Patrick Holloway has been cut.#CL# Holloway closes the distance and clinches. Karpin wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Holloway stalls. Karpin tries to break the clinch but Holloway is controlling the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Karpin is trying to force a seperation but Holloway has the dominant position. Holloway fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Holloway jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Karpin walks away with a smile on his face. Holloway gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. #T1# Karpin lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Holloway circles away quickly and effectively. Karpin throws out a loose jab but Holloway uses good head movement to avoid it. Holloway is looking to counter the offense by Karpin and move into the clinch. Karpin fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Holloway on the side of the head. Karpin throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Karpin looks to land a right hand but Holloway moved out of range. Karpin will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Tyson throws a big counter combination but Karpin scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Karpin listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Karpin paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Karpin stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Tyson with a poor takedown and Karpin counters with a crisp right that sends Tyson to the canvas! Karpin follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!

Parsons seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Karpin paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Karpin lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
#CUT2# It looks like Dwain Parsons has been cut. Karpin misses with the combination.
Parsons tries for a takedown but Karpin circles away easily and Karpin counters with a straight right hand.#ROC2# Parsons is rocked! Parsons gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Karpin makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Oh Parsons is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Parsons really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Parsons leaves his chin hanging out and Karpin seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Parsons crumbles to the floor in a heap! The referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
