#R1##CL2# Ciccio moves into the clinch successfully.
Hooper working Ciccio over with knees to the body. Hooper displaying some good clinch control by pressing Ciccio up against the cage.#TD2# Ciccio pulls guard. Hooper really is a fat lump. Hooper trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Hooper postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. #ES2# Ciccio has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Hooper is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. Ciccio can't find room to land a body shot as Hooper controls the action.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hooper will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Ciccio up against the cage. Ciccio wants to get back to striking at distance but Hooper won't allow it.
#T1# Ciccio is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Ciccio fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

#TD2# Ciccio manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Ciccio looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Hooper trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Hooper stops Ciccio from standing up. #T2# Ciccio tries to land a sweep but no joy. Ciccio is trying to control the position but Hooper postures up. Hooper throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Ciccio works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Ciccio striking off his back but it's not causing Hooper any problems. Hooper lands a couple of decent looking shots. Ciccio looking to sweep here. No luck so far. #SUB2# Ciccio had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Hooper defends it easily. Ciccio wants to control but Hooper passes easily into half guard.
Hooper sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Ciccio defending well though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hooper looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Ciccio with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. #T3# Hooper missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Ciccio wants to improve his position but Hooper is controlling well.
Hooper has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.#SUB# Hooper is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Ciccio wants to get back to full guard but Hooper has passed into side control. Ciccio looks winded! Ciccio takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Ciccio is looking to reverse the position. Hooper working the ground and pound from side control.#T4# Ciccio struggling a bit here. Hooper misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
The ground and pound from Hooper seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Hooper landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. #SUB# Hooper wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Ciccio, who protects the arm well. Hooper throwing strikes but missing, from side control. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Ciccio takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Ciccio tries to bench press Hooper off him but Hooper keeps the position. Hooper tries to score with some ground and pound. Ciccio controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chad Hooper dominated that round. The cut man is working on Chad Hooper's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! #R2##CL2# Hooper gets tackled into the cage by Ciccio. Ciccio maintains the clinch. Hooper pressing his opponent against the cage. #TD2# Ciccio wants the takedown. Hooper is fighting it off but Ciccio persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Hooper's guard against the cage. Hooper is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Hooper looking to hit a scissor sweep but Ciccio is one step ahead there. Ciccio must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ciccio trying to control but Hooper is working from the bottom. Ciccio is fighting to break Hooper's control of his arms but Hooper is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Hooper continues to stall.#T1# Ciccio trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Hooper has his hands on Ciccio's head, controlling the position. #SUB# Ciccio avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Hooper might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.#SU2# Ciccio decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. #TD2# Ciccio closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Hooper quickly recovers to half guard.#T2# Ciccio wants to stand up but Hooper has a hold of him and won't allow it. Hooper moves into full guard.
#SUB# Hooper is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Ciccio rolls with it to try and escape but Hooper cranks on the arm and Ciccio is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
