Mccormick tries to close the distance and clinch up but Heidemann swats him away and circles back towards the center. Heidemann with the counter takedown but Mccormick avoids it easily.#CL# Mccormick takes the fight into the clinch. Stalling in the clinch from Mccormick.
#TD2# Heidemann has clasped his hands together around Mccormick's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Heidemann is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Mccormick's shoulder. That is not cool. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mccormick is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Heidemann asserts his dominance and retains side control. Heidemann changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Heidemann displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Mccormick. Sas jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Mccormick walks away with a smile on his face. Sas gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. #CL2# Mccormick tries to keep at a distance but Sas has taken the fight into the clinch. Sas slowing the pace effectively. Mccormick looking to throw knees to the head but Sas is blocking nicely.
Mccormick pushes off an throws an elbow but Sas leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Mccormick throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Sas blocks it with crossed arms. Mccormick looking to throw knees to the head but Sas is blocking nicely.
Mccormick tries to stall but Sas uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
