#R1##TD# Garrett closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming McCorry to the mat! McCorry manages to get full guard. McCorry is trying to control the position from the bottom.
McCorry looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Garrett with a flurry of punches that miss. Garrett is working McCorry over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Garrett with a nice head shot there.#SUB2# Garrett avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Garrett tries to free his leg and advance position but McCorry is retaining full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Garrett connects with a couple of short punches. Garrett lands a couple of elbows.#SUB2# McCorry looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
#SUB2# Garrett got a little sloppy there for a moment and McCorry has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Garrett has managed to get both his arms back between McCorry's legs - danger averted. Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!#SUB2# McCorry has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Garrett doesn't defend quickly enough and McCorry has managed to lock this one up! Can Garrett escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to McCorry on a fantastic submission victory.

#R1##TD# McCorry feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. McCorry won't allow Minarsich to sweep him here. Minarsich really doesn't want to stay on the ground with McCorry. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. McCorry wants to control from the top but Minarsich keeps moving. McCorry engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. McCorry passes Minarsich's left leg - he's now in half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McCorry is trying to control the action in half guard but Minarsich is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Minarsich should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.#SUB# McCorry is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Minarsich is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
