Silva seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and John has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Silva is positioning himself to get back to half guard. After the fight, Jihadi John was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Silva tries to move into full mount but can't pass Robinson's legs. Silva wants to lay and pray for a moment but Robinson keeps working. Silva is really struggling to control Robinson but he's trying to hold on to the position. Silva throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. I wouldn't like to be where Robinson is right now. Robinson is working to avoid the ground and pound but Silva connects with a decent elbow. #CUT# It looks like Luke Robinson has been cut. Coming up we have a super heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Rio Silva (ranked 4198 p4p, 36 weight class) and Golden Sage Lll (ranked 5448 p4p, 429 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Golden Sage Lll was going to win. Let's see if he was right.
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Amsterdam, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Rio Silva! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Amsterdam, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Golden Sage Lll! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Paul Aken and Aafke Stam.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Sage Lll fails to land the takedown. Silva tries to counter with a takedown but Sage Lll is quick to defend against it. Sage Lll tries to score a power double leg takedown but Silva sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Sage Lll somewhat. Sage Lll tries to sprawl but Silva drives through with a takedown into half guard. Stone bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. A left and a right from Silva both land. Nice combination. #CUT2# It looks like Aaron Stone has been cut. Sloppy strikes from Silva. Those never looked like landing. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Stone lands with a straight right. Silva didn't see that one coming.#KD# Stone feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Silva sprawling to the canvas! Silva rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Stone finish him?!
#ROC# Silva is rocked! Stone lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Silva is still on wobbly legs! Can Stone finish him? Silva gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Stone gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Silva is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

Horrible takedown attempt by Mazepin or perhaps it was just good defense by Silva, which made it look bad. Mazepin on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Silva throws a nice looking combination but Mazepin bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Mazepin tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. #TD2# Silva shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Mazepin manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.#SU2# Silva decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Mazepin, up you get! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mazepin connects with a body shot that sends Silva's belly button to the back. Mazepin moves in looking to clinch but Silva pushes him off. Silva misses with a lunging right hand

Tormenta gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. #CL# Tormenta fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Silva, pushing him back against the cage. Tormenta tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Silva smiles and moves away.

Tormenta is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Silva to keep the fight standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Fray Tormenta.
