It will also be interesting to see what tactics Master uses from the top position. Master trying to control but De Souza is working from the bottom. De Souza looking to hit a scissor sweep but Master is one step ahead there. Master passes De Souza's left leg - he's now in half guard. Master wants to free his trapped foot but De Souza is holding on for dear life with his legs. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Master throwing shots but De Souza is blocking nicely. Master is looking to take a break and control but De Souza is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Master will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. De Souza tries to kick Master off but Master keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. #T1##SUB# Master is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. De Souza doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Master. De Souza wants to get back to full guard. De Souza is staying active underneath Master, who seems content to just control the action from this position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.#SUB# Master looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
De Souza works his way to full guard. Good work.#T2# Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Master wants to control from the top but De Souza keeps moving. Master trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. #R1##CL2# Master closes the distance and pushes Camoran back into the cage. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. A short left from Camoran. Camoran lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Master taking a breather. Master tries to land knees in the clinch but Camoran avoids the damage to the body. Master is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. A short left from Camoran. Camoran scores with an uppercut up the middle. Master throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Camoran blocks it with crossed arms. Camoran lands a hook that snaps the head of Master backwards. Camoran lands on the inside with an uppercut. A head punch blocked on the inside by Camoran. Camoran scores with a hook to the body. Master looking to throw knees to the head but Camoran is blocking nicely.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! A short right from Camoran. With the fighters up against the cage, Master throws an elbow but misses. Camoran scores with a shoulder strike. Camoran works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

Camoran lands a hook to the side of the head.#CUT# It looks like New Master has been cut.#KD# Camoran drops Master onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Master is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!#ROC# Master is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Camoran creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Master's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Master drops to his knees and Camoran pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

#R1# Master moves in looking to clinch but Rodgers pushes him off. Rodgers with a body punch. A glancing blow. Rodgers pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Master is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Master closes the distance but Rodgers moves to the side and Rodgers finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. Rodgers cracks Master with an open hand slap.#CUT2# It looks like New Master has been cut. Rodgers lands a leg kick that knocks Master off balance momentarily. Master is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Master moves in looking to clinch but Rodgers pushes him off. Rodgers throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A big right from Rodgers misses. A thudding body kick lands there by Rodgers!
Master is breathing heavily. Rodgers fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Rodgers misses with a hook. Master steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Rodgers. That one must have hurt.#T1# Rodgers looks to land a right hand but Master moved out of range. Rodgers throws a jab but it's blocked by Master. Rodgers is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent. Master tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Rodgers counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. Rodgers misses with a looping right. Master looks to clinch enabling Rodgers to counter with a crisp jab. Rodgers moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Rodgers throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Master sees it coming and avoids it easily. Rodgers throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Rodgers smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Nice defenses there by Master.#KD2# Rodgers drops Master with a beautiful combination! Master stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Rodgers is looking for the KO!#ROC2# Master is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Master is aggressively charging in as Rodgers backs up avoiding any damage. Rodgers tosses out a jab and Master runs right into it face first! Master is out cold! Rodgers dropped down on all fours and is barking in Master's face like a pit bull in celebration until the ref was finally able to pull him away!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Anthony Rodgers! Anthony Rodgers was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.

Davidson is off balance and as he stumbles, Master throws a jumping knee that lands flush on Davidson's chin, knocking him out cold! Oh my word - what a knockout! Definitely one for his highlight reel! If he ever decides to rob a bank and run off to Morocco, that moment is defintely worthy of a tacky mural!

A very excited looking New Master made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
