Bumperstein drops back looking for a leg! Steve is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Steve manages to kick Bumperstein off! Bumperstein jumps back into Steve's guard.
Bumperstein wants to control from the top but Steve keeps moving.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB#

Steve wants to stand and escape but Bumperstein is having none of it.
Bumperstein is pushing down on Steve's leg trying to pass to half guard. Steve is fighting to maintain full guard but Bumperstein has managed to sneak the leg through.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Bumperstein connects with a nice short shot to Steve's temple.

Bumperstein has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Steve is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Bumperstein has latched onto it... Big trouble! Bumperstein pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Steve is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Bumperstein!

Hlaalu swings widly with a right hand
and Hlaalu takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Steve has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Hlaalu is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Hlaalu misses with a left hand
and Steve counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Hlaalu lands a body shot.
Hlaalu loads up on a big right hand but Steve slips the punch.
Steve with a hook.

Steve misses with a hook. Hlaalu ducked under it nicely.
Steve throws the left hand but Hlaalu avoids the punch easily.

and Steve scores with a counter punch that sends Hlaalu to the canvas! Steve smells blood - he's punishing Hlaalu with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Hlaalu has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
