Rinaldi wants to counter with a clinch but Akerfeldt pushes him away.#TD# Akerfeldt drives through with a takedown into guard. #SUB# Akerfeldt drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Rinaldi dives on top into guard.#REVB# Akerfeldt looking to control.
Akerfeldt is looking to stand up but Rinaldi isn't so interested in that idea. Rinaldi not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rinaldi advances to half guard. Akerfeldt wants to get back to his feet.

Beavis tries to clinch but fails miserably and Akerfeldt counters with a left and a right that stings Beavis. #KD2# Akerfeldt lands a left and a right that send Beavis crashing to the mat, dazed. Akerfeldt thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet! A nice inside leg kick there by Akerfeldt. That's going to slow Beavis down. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Beavis tries to close the distance and clinch but Akerfeldt swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. #CL2# Akerfeldt clinches up against the cage.#TD2# Akerfeldt pulls guard. Beavis cracks Akerfeldt with a solid left hand. Beavis trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. #R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Akerfeldt slaps away a takedown attempt from Barnes, before circling back to the center of the mat. Akerfeldt tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Barnes manages to circle out of the way. Akerfeldt throws a right hand that Barnes ducks under and follows up with a left that Barnes also avoids with ease. We've been informed that Barnes has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Akerfeldt fails to land with a series of punches.
Barnes tries to clinch up but Akerfeldt circles away and keeps his distance. Akerfeldt is looking to counter punch. Barnes tries a head kick but it misses.

#R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Akerfeldt tries for a takedown but Lucas sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. A little jabbing left from Lucas on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Lucas connects with a body shot that sends Akerfeldt's belly button to the back. Lucas dodges the punch combination from Akerfeldt.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Lucas! But no joy. Akerfeldt fails with the takedown and Lucas counters with a solid body kick. Lucas lands an overhand right. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lucas lands a jab to the nose. Akerfeldt chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Lucas can pounce on him.

Frank Lucas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Akerfeldt avoids the head kick by Lucas.

Akerfeldt goes for a double leg but Lucas avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Lucas continues to drive forward. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bjorn Akerfeldt. That's going to take a lot out of him.#T2# Akerfeldt tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Lucas manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Lucas! But no joy. Akerfeldt looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Robbins is looking to regain half guard here but Akerfeldt keeps moving and retains side control. #SU2# Akerfeldt stands up and beckons Robbins to his feet. #TD# Robbins shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Akerfeldt stalks Guadrado and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Guadrado's face. Guadrado staggers backwards, shaken.#TD2# Guadrado looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Guadrado prevents Akerfeldt from standing back up.
Guadrado stalling. Guadrado wants to lay and pray for a moment but Akerfeldt keeps working. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Guadrado lands a nice short elbow. Akerfeldt trying to control but Guadrado postures up.

Kuervos throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Akerfeldt stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Kuervos misses with a two punch combination.
Akerfeldt feints the counter takedown. Kuervos leaves Akerfeldt with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
