Horrible takedown attempt by Voetsek or perhaps it was just good defense by Martinez, which made it look bad. Martinez lands a jab to Voetsek's midsection. Voetsek walks into a picture perfect straight right hand from Martinez! He's gone down face first to the canvas, unconscious before he even hit the floor! Ohhhh. My. Goodness! That boys and girls was a beautiful knockout! Give that man a biscuit!

#R1# Voetsek fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Voetsek sets himself, and Santana steps forward looking for the clinch! Voetsek avoids it this time. Voetsek looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Santana is fending him off so far but Voetsek persists. Nope, Santana circles away and we're back to standing. Santana appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.#TD# Voetsek closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Santana's guard. Santana preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Santana not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Santana can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Voetsek controls the pace. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Voetsek wants to control from the top but Santana keeps moving. #R1##TD# Voetsek scores with a takedown into Bomba's guard. Bomba is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Voetsek dives into side control.
Voetsek could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.#REVB# Voetsek landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. You can see the frustration on Bomba's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. We've been hearing good reports from Voetsek's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Bomba stops Voetsek from passing to mount. Voetsek has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Voetsek cracks Bomba with a big right hand but Bomba just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Bomba really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Voetsek. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. #R1# Voetsek doesn't succeed with the takedown enabling Wanker to counter with a crisp jab. #TD# Voetsek feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Wanker wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
