The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Richard controlling the action here. Richard moves into full mount! James Jr won't be happy about that! Richard landing punches. Richard has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of James Jr's face.

James Jr escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Hopkins looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Hopkins throws a lazy right hand but James Jr sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Hopkins takes a body punch but keeps moving. James Jr connects with a body shot. James Jr keeps Hopkins at a distance using the push kick. Hopkins definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. James Jr tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. James Jr tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Hopkins manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. James Jr shoots for a takedown but Hopkins saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Hopkins slaps away a takedown attempt from James Jr, before circling back to the center of the mat.
