Volkoff tries to clinch but Svenssson is having none of it. Svenssson tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Volkoff manages to circle out of the way. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Volkoff has eaten all the pies! The fighters circle momentarily. Svenssson darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Volkoff takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Nikolai Volkoff seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Volkoff wants to clinch up but Svenssson keeps it at a distance. Svenssson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
