#R1# Smith shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. #TD# Two gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Smith to score an easy takedown into full guard. Smith wanted to stand there but Two had control of the position. Smith has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.#SUB# Smith is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Smith working some strikes from top position. Smith stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Two swivels though and keeps the full guard. Smith is standing up over Two. Two looks to escape but Smith dives into side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Smith happy to just control the position for now. #SUB# Smith wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Two, who protects the arm well. #T1##SUB# Smith has hold of Two's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Two seems comfortable defending it but Smith has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Two is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Two is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Smith couldn't care less - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:06 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Scott Smith!
