The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Richard controlling the action here. Richard moves into full mount! James Jr won't be happy about that! Richard landing punches. Richard has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of James Jr's face.
Richard landing shots from mount. This has been an exciting period of action! Richard tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. and Stormchaser counters with a straight right hand. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Stormchaser. Richard shrugs it off though. Stormchaser punishes Richard's body with a nice straight punch. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Richard has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.#CL2# Richard closes the distance and pushes Stormchaser back into the cage. Richard can't get the takedown.
Stormchaser stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Stormchaser tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Richard's elbow. Stormchaser scores with a shoulder strike. A nice right hand lands inside from Stormchaser. #BC# Stormchaser escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Richard misses with a takedown and Stormchaser counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. James Stormchaser is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Stormchaser lands a leg kick that knocks Richard off balance momentarily. Richard swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Richard rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Stormchaser moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Stormchaser lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. James Stormchaser seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Stormchaser lands with a nice body punch. Richard is breathing heavily. Danga de danga de dang - Stormchaser scores with a four punch combination! Stormchaser lands a right hook to the body.
James Stormchaser is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Richard takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Richard takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Stormchaser lands with an uppercut that bounces Richard off the cage and back into range. We've been told by Stormchaser's head coaches at whitey's gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Stormchaser cracks a nice hook into Richard's ribs. Stormchaser dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Richard. That did some damage! Richard drops his hands momentarily and Stormchaser takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Richard is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Stormchaser. Richard throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Stormchaser's waist but Stormchaser gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Richard off to one side. A jab from Stormchaser finds it's way through Richard's defenses. James Stormchaser is winning the standup battle so far.#T4# Richard takes a jab right on the nose. #R1# Richard swats away the attempt to clinch by Zutis. Richard looks to score with a jab to the body but Zutis is just out of range. Zutis is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Zutis shoots in and drives through. Richard sprawls well.#TD# Richard feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Richard is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Richard keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Zutis's head. Richard controls the pace of the fight for a moment. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Richard working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. #T1# Richard not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Zutis looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.#T2# Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Zutis is trying to control the position but Richard postures up. #REF3# The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Richard jabbing away but nothing is landing. Zutis darts in looking for a takedown but Richard gets double underhooks and turns Zutis into the cage. Richard fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Zutis manages to avoid it. Zutis lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Zutis uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Richard.

Richard's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. The referee asks Richard politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. and Atunes counters with a lovely shot to the body. Richard needs to keep his hands up - Atunes had a free shot at his head there. Atunes cracks a nice hook into Richard's ribs. Atunes has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Richard is landing a low percentage of strikes. Atunes tries to close the distance and clinch but Richard swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Atunes sizes up Richard with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Atunes tries to close the distance and clinch up but Richard swats him away and circles back towards the center. Atunes closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Richard! Atunes dives in looking to finish! Richard is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!

Black will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Black wants to stand but Richard is controlling the position. Richard tries to free his leg and advance position but Black is retaining full guard. Black wants to stand up but Richard is controlling him. Richard is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. It looks like Richard might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.#REF3# The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.#TD2# Richard feints and as Black raises his hands in defense, Richard changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
