West avoids the head kick by Vasiliev.
West misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
West throws a head kick that misses. #TD2# Vasiliev drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. West is trying to control Vasiliev's posture but Vasiliev avoids it. West tries to escape but Vasiliev is in control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SU2# Vasiliev has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. West avoids the head kick by Vasiliev.
#TD2# West tries to sprawl but Vasiliev drives through with a takedown into half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Vasiliev slows the pace down in half guard. #T1##SUB2# Vasiliev seems to be looking for submissions.
West knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Vasiliev on the ground. Well, if Vasiliev is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Vasiliev lands a couple of decent looking shots. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Vasiliev scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Vasiliev has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Vasiliev passes to full mount! #SU2# Vasiliev is standing up, even though he is in mount. #T4# Vasiliev avoids the head kick by West.
#TD2# Vasiliev manages to get an easy takedown there - catching West on his heels. He'll look to pass West's guard now, I'm sure. West is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Vasiliev dives into side control.
#REVR##SU2# Vasiliev decides to stand back up. Vasiliev steps back and let's West get back to his feet. Vasiliev lands a brutal head kick. West looks out on his feet and Vasiliev throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
