Nieves shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Hornfellow Iii eats them both and turns towards Nieves to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Nieves throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hornfellow Iii's waist but Hornfellow Iii gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Nieves off to one side. Hornfellow Iii connects with a right hand. Nieves shakes it off. Hornfellow Iii swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Fleck tries to break free but Nieves pushes him back against the cage.#TD2# Fleck gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. #ES# Nieves is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. #TD# Nieves jumps into guard, dragging Fleck to the mat.
Fleck would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Fleck trying to control the position from guard on top but Nieves is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. #ES# Nieves pushes Fleck off and scrambles back to his feet.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. God throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Nieves works some decent striking defense from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. God not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.#SU2# Jenkins stands up from Nieves's guard - Jenkins perhaps looking for a knockout. Nieves avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
#TD2# Jenkins gets a takedown into half guard. Nieves tries to kick Jenkins off in order to stand up. Jenkins Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SU2# Jenkins decides to stand up, so the ref orders Nieves to his feet. Nieves really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Nieves tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jenkins sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Nieves somewhat. Jenkins misses with a low kick. Nieves is looking to counter the offense by Jenkins and move into the clinch.#TD2# Jenkins shoots in and bounces Nieves off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.#SU2# Jenkins gets to his feet - Nieves follows without any prompting. #T2# Nieves closes the distance and clinches up with Jenkins, looking for a takedown. Nieves pushes Jenkins against the cage but Jenkins circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Nieves looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jenkins is fending him off so far but Nieves persists. Nope, Jenkins circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dante Nieves. That's going to take a lot out of him. The fight stays on the outside here - Jenkins looks like he's thinking about clinching though.#TD2# Jenkins feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Nieves wants to get back to his feet but Jenkins passes into half guard.

Nieves shoots in but Jenkins avoids the takedown attempt easily. Good work by Jenkins as he checks the leg kick. Jenkins lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.#TD2# Jenkins shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Nieves's guard.#SU2# Jenkins stands up from guard. Let's bang! Nieves is breathing heavily.#T4# Nieves with a poor takedown #TD2# and Jenkins counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Nieves tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Jenkins manages to move to mount!

Nieves is looking to stand back up but Jenkins counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Nieves. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Johhny Jenkins dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. #R2# Nieves avoids the head kick by Jenkins.

Jenkins swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Nieves showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Jenkins.

Nieves is certainly not going to complain about that decision. Jenkins has been the more effective fighter overall so far.#TD2# Jenkins fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Nieves sprawls well initially but Jenkins persists and gets the takedown into half guard. #ROC2# Nieves is rocked!#SU2# Jenkins decides to return to a standing position. Jenkins moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Oh Nieves is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!#T3##TD2# Jenkins shoots in for a takedown. SLAM! Brutal! Nieves is out cold and this one is all over!

#R1# White lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Nieves circles away quickly and effectively. White chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Nieves can pounce on him.

He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Nieves's guard. White arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Nieves's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
