#R1##TD2# Carson throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Mooney was covering up waiting for the punch and Carson finishes the takedown easily into guard. #ES# Mooney kicks Carson off and gets to his feet. Carson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Mooney looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Mooney has a takedown stuffed. Mooney sets himself, and Carson steps forward looking for the clinch! Mooney avoids it this time.#TD# Mooney drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Carson wants to sweep but no luck. Mooney is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. #SUB2# Carson had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Mooney defends it easily.#T1# Carson wants to hit a switch here but Mooney passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Carson there! Carson working to try and regain half guard.

#T2# Mooney lands a couple of good shots and Carson has given up his back, trying to escape the position! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mooney controlling well, preventing Carson from escaping the position.
Mooney has good solid back control here. Carson can't escape the position.

Carson is trying to get back to his feet but Mooney has full control of the position and if anything, Carson has just worked his way into a worse spot.#T3# Can Carson hold on?! Mooney is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.
A bit of a pause in the action here. Mooney controlling the positon. Carson tries to escape but Mooney has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Mooney punches the canvas rather than the man. Mooney has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Carson. Mooney is looking to control Carson but Carson is wriggling around and keeping busy. #T4##SUB# The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

#R1##CL2# Caliber rushes Carson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Caliber tries to circle away but Carson has him pinned against the cage. A frustrated look appears on Caliber's face as he tries to break the clinch. Carson working Caliber over with knees to the body. Carson is trying to pull guard but Caliber has him pressed against the cage. A short body shot lands from Carson as the two fighters clinch.
#TD# Carson manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. #SUB# Carson is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Caliber is aware though and is defending well. Carson keeping moving, preventing Caliber from controlling successfully. Carson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. #REVR# We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Carson working over Caliber with some ground and pound. Caliber looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Carson uses his free foot to push down on Caliber's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Caliber. Caliber wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
#T1# Caliber tries to buck Carson off but Carson takes his back! Caliber wants to get back to his feet. Caliber is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Carson.
#SUB# Carson is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Caliber has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Carson has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Caliber taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Carson doesn't care though - he's delighted!
