#R1##TD# Spurgeon scores with a takedown into Dijk's guard. Dijk is looking to stand back up but Spurgeon counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Dijk. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Dijk can do anything to dispel that myth.#REVB# Spurgeon looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Dijk scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Spurgeon manages to mount him!

#CUT#It looks like Lars Van Dijk has been cut. Dijk really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Spurgeon. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Spurgeon raining down shots from the mount! Spurgeon fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
#T1# Spurgeon lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Spurgeon lands a big elbow. #ROC#Dijk is rocked! Spurgeon lands a heavy shot. That's hurt Dijk! Spurgeon sees the opportunity and turns up the heat - strike after strike land to the defenseless Dijk and the ref dives in to save him! This one is all over!

#R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Maze dips to his left and cracks Spurgeon with an uppercut! Spurgeon ducks under a wild hook from Maze. Spurgeon drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Maze defends it well. Spurgeon misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Spurgeon takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. A slapping body kick lands there for Maze. Spurgeon shoots in for a takedown but Maze shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Maze lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Moonlight Maze seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Crunch! Maze slams his shin into Spurgeon's torso. Maze moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Maze throws a leg kick which misses Spurgeon's front leg but catches the back leg as Spurgeon tries to avoid it. Maze lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Maze's jab looks to have found its range, popping Spurgeon under the eye. Spurgeon closes the distance looking to clinch and Maze counters with an inside leg kick. Maze darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Maze cracks Spurgeon with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.#ROC#Spurgeon is rocked!#T1# Spurgeon tries for a takedown but Maze circles away easily and Maze counters with a huge overhand right that connects right on the temple, sending him crumpling, face first to the floor! This one is all over! What a knockout!
