Domicio drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Domicio tries to work over Smith's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Domicio has been working on his balance at Island Sparring, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Smith. Smith misses with a short punch on the inside. #TD# Domicio decides to pull guard. Domicio is trying to control the position but Smith postures up. #SUB# Domicio had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Smith defends it easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Smith is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Domicio looking for a sweep. Domicio has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Smith! Smith wants to control but Domicio is having none of it. Smith stops Domicio from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Lucio Domicio dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round! #R3# Smith is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Domicio fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Smith manages to avoid it. Domicio changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Smith tries to avoid it but Domicio manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Smith to the ground. Smith escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Domicio has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.#CUT2# It looks like Lucio Domicio has been cut. Domicio looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Smith is fending him off so far but Domicio persists. Nope, Smith circles away and we're back to standing.#CL# Domicio has taken the fight to the clinch.
#TD# Smith is fighting off a takedown attempt but Domicio is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Smith to the mat. Smith regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. We've been informed that Smith has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Domicio trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. #SUB# Domicio drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Domicio jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Domicio stopping the sweep attempt from Smith. Domicio is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Smith can do to turn this around? Domicio sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Smith's guard. #T1# Domicio is trying to control the action in half guard but Smith is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Domicio tries to pass to full mount but Smith defends it. Smith tries to get to full guard but Domicio has control of the leg. #T2# There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Domicio passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Smith! #SUB# Domicio jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Smith is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Smith and Domicio has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

That was a close second round but I would say that Satoru Yoshioka will probably get the nod. Maju punishes Smith's body with a nice straight punch. Smith slips a jab from Maju. Smith throws out a counter right but Maju avoids it with no problem. Maju throws a hook to the side of Smith's head but Smith sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Smith staying out of range there.#CL2# Smith rushes Maju and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. A nice right hand lands inside from Smith. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Smith creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Smith throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Maju is trying to force a seperation but Smith has the dominant position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Maju wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. A short left from Smith. Smith avoiding damage.

Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Smith screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

#R1# Smith stalks Nicator and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Nicator's face. Nicator staggers backwards, shaken. Smith throws a looping overhand right but Nicator ducks down to avoid it. Nicator tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Smith manages to circle out of the way. Smith circles away from the clinch attempt and Smith counters with a nice uppercut. The fight stays on the outside here - Nicator looks like he's thinking about clinching though. A little jabbing left from Smith on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Smith lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Nicator at a distance.

#CL# Nicator instigates a clinch. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Smith lands a shoulder strike. Smith lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Nicator. Smith lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Nicator or not. Nicator is breathing heavily. Smith lands with a light punch inside. Nicator is trying to pull guard but Smith has him pressed against the cage. Smith pushes Nicator back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.#TD# Nicator drags the fight down to the ground.
Smith tries to stand but Nicator is controlling from the bottom. #SU2# Smith stands up from Nicator's guard - Smith perhaps looking for a knockout. Smith stuns Nicator with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

He thinks about going to the ground but Nicator looks back up at him and smiles so Smith waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Oh Nicator is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Smith looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Smith plants his feet and throws a 3 punch combo. Miss, miss, boom! The third punch, a big right hook, connects right on the temple and drops Nicator to the mat, unconscious! This fight is all over! Nicator just couldn't keep out of the way of the whole flurry of punches!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:14 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Ben Smith! Ben Smith decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.

Peterson throws a series of punches but Smith moves out of range. Smith lands with a hook. Peterson tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. #KD2# Smith cracks Peterson with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Peterson looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Smith finish him?
#ROC2# Peterson is rocked!#CUT2# It looks like Mike Peterson has been cut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Smith misses with a straight left. Peterson takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Nice straight punches there by Smith. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Smith. Oh Peterson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Smith comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Smith throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
As Smith backs away, Peterson returns fire with a leg kick that just misses. Peterson seems to have got his legs back now. and Smith counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Peterson! He's just covering up as Smith starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!

Smith working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. A short right from Smith on the inside. Yoshioka's coach down at Island Sparring was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Yoshioka's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Yoshioka fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Smith lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the ropes. Yoshioka is looking to control Smith's arms but Smith gets an underhook and turns him. Now Yoshioka has his back to the ropes. Smith is trying to stall.

Quinones shoots in looking for a takedown but Smith manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Quinones's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Quinones is pinned up against the ropes taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
#ROC2# Quinones is rocked! Quinones get stunned by a cross and takes another one on the button. Quinones stumbles backwards and tries to bounce back off the ropes but Smith runs in and jumps on him with a leaping lead hook that puts him out! Wow, that was highlight reel stuff! Awesome finish!
