Kiran looks to score with a jab to the body but Himes is just out of range. Himes moves out of range as Kiran strikes. Kiran misses with an uppercut. Kiran tries to clinch up but Himes circles away and keeps his distance. Himes only half commits to the counter leg kick. Sloppy strikes from Kiran. Those never looked like landing. Himes swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Kiran throws the left hand but Himes avoids the punch easily. Himes is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Kiran with a body shot. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kiran steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Himes. That one must have hurt. Kiran throws an overhand right that lands on Himes's shoulder, as Himes tries to avoid the shot. Kiran throws a leg kick but Himes moved away. Himes avoids the body shot from Kiran.

Ovidio Kiran seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kiran fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Himes manages to avoid it. Kiran backing away here, and Himes unleashes a leg kick that just misses. Himes misses with a looping right. This has been an exciting period of action! Kiran lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Himes moves into range and lands a nice body kick.

Himes throws a fast counter high kick but Kiran manages to duck under it in time. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Himes lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Kiran has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Kiran and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Himes ducks under a wild hook from Kiran. Himes moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. #T3# Himes walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Kiran looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

#R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Thomas takes a body punch but keeps moving. Thomas misses with a hook. Himes ducked under it nicely. Thomas missing with a left hand there. Himes was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Thomas throws out a powerful jab. A combination from Thomas does no damage. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Himes! But no joy. Thomas misses with a straight left. Himes throws out a counter right but Thomas avoids it with no problem. Thomas is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Himes. Himes lands a right hand from hell, dropping Rollins. Himes pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
