Cannon drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Horatius defends it well. Cannon fails to land the takedown. As Cannon looks to move away, Horatius throws a big counter combo but Cannon just gets out of the way. Horatius tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Cannon was well out of range. Poor timing from Horatius. Joey Horatius seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Cannon avoids the body shot from Horatius.

Cannon doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Horatius looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Horatius throws a looping overhand right but Cannon ducks down to avoid it. No luck with that takedown attempt from Cannon. #T2# Horatius ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Cannon moves away. Nice defenses there by Cannon. Cannon is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Horatius. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!#TD2# Cannon feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Horatius wants to sweep but no luck. Horatius is adopting a defensive guard. Horatius knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Cannon on the ground.#SUB2# Cannon drops back looking for a leg! Horatius is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Horatius manages to kick Cannon off! Cannon jumps back into Horatius's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cannon is fighting to break Horatius's control of his arms but Horatius is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.#T3# Cannon preventing the sweep. Horatius pulls Cannon in to control the position. Horatius's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.#REF3# The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Cannon changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Horatius tries to avoid it but Cannon manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Horatius to the ground. Horatius escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. A counter left hand to the body from Horatius misses its target. Horatius misses the shot to the body. #T4# The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Cannon darts in looking for a takedown but Horatius gets double underhooks and turns Cannon into the cage. We've been told by Horatius's head coaches at Coffins MMA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Horatius takes a swing at Cannon's ribcage but misses. Horatius takes a swing at Cannon's ribcage but misses. Cannon has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Cannon there as he acknowledges the shot. Horatius throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Cannon feints the counter takedown. Horatius throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Cannon. Horatius misses with a few strikes there.
Cannon moves out of range as Horatius strikes. Cannon fails miserably with a takedown attempt. An attempted straight right counter from Horatius misses the target. Cannon drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Horatius misses with a few strikes there.
Cannon takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The crowd cheers as Horatius lands an impressive looking overhand right. Cannon doesn't seem phased though. Cannon shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Horatius as he avoids it easily. A quick step to the side and Horatius tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Horatius connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Horatius misses with a wild body shot. Landon Cannon is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.#T1# Horatius throws a one two combo.

Horatius fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Horatius is pawing at Cannon, trying to feel the distance before throwing out a cross that crashes into Cannon's nose. Cannon is badly hurt! Horatius pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Cannon tries desperately to hold on but Horatius is relentless in his assault! As Cannon receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Horatius away and this one is in the books!

#R1##TD2# Khoramov gets caught flat footed, as Cannon shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Khoramov wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Cannon manages to pass to side control. #REVR##SUB2# Cannon seems to be looking for submissions.
Khoramov pushes Cannon off looking to stand but Cannon dives back in and keeps control.
Cannon is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Khoramov! #SUB2# Cannon jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Khoramov manages to avoid the submission attempt. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! Cannon jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Burns walks away with a smile on his face. Cannon gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. #CL2# Burns moves into the clinch successfully.

Green lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Cannon circles away quickly and effectively. Coming up we have a lightweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Killua Zoldyk (ranked 1419 p4p, 158 weight class) and Landon Cannon (ranked 24652 p4p, 561 weight class). Killua Zoldyk has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the lightweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Tokyo, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 0 losses; Killua Zoldyk! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 0 losses; Landon Cannon! The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Colin Fotheringham and James Ackerman.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Zoldyk fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Landon Cannon was going to win. Let's see if he was right.
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the lightweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 0 losses; Collins Pac! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 0 losses; Landon Cannon! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.
Let's get this grappling contest under way! Who will be victorious? Pac looks for a takedown but Cannon sprawls well. Cannon with the counter takedown but Pac avoids it easily.
