#R1# Carvaleho moves away from the strike by Revorg. A lazy left from Carvaleho finds it's target. Revorg thuds a left hand into Carvaleho's body. Carvaleho fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Carvaleho lands a nice shot that snaps Revorg's head back.
Carvaleho moves in looking to clinch but Revorg pushes him off. Revorg stuns Carvaleho with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Revorg checks a low kick from Carvaleho. Revorg half committed to a counter leg kick.#TD2# Carvaleho closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!#SUB# Revorg actively working from the bottom here. Revorg won't allow Carvaleho to pass to mount. My spies in Kung Pao inform me that Carvaleho has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Carvaleho stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Revorg swivels though and keeps the full guard. Carvaleho postures up.

#R1# Carvaleho uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before River has time to react. River fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Carvaleho. River walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Carvaleho misses with a few strikes there.
Carvaleho with a jab. Carvaleho throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Good work by Carvaleho as he checks the leg kick. Carvaleho throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. River with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Jose Carvaleho seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. River ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. River lands a jab.#CUT2#It looks like Jose Carvaleho has been cut. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Carvaleho lands a jab. River fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Carvaleho looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. River just misses with a punch to the body.

River throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Carvaleho on the side of the head. Carvaleho looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. He thinks about going to the ground but Carvaleho looks back up at him and smiles so River waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

We've been informed that Carvaleho has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
