Paul shoots in looking for a takedown. Medvedev tries to sprawl out of it but Paul keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Medvedev manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Medvedev unleashes a big counter combination but Paul bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Laurence Paul. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Medvedev defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Paul. Medvedev will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Paul shoots in for a takedown but Medvedev shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Horrible takedown attempt by Medvedev or perhaps it was just good defense by Paul, which made it look bad. Paul scores with a three punch combo!
