#R1# No luck for Vilheimshaugen with that takedown attempt. A solid body kick from Nasukawa. Vilheimshaugen sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Vilheimshaugen on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Nasukawa scores with a jab. Vilheimshaugen acknowledges it with a nod of the head. A head kick from Nasukawa lands but Vilheimshaugen takes it in his stride. Vilheimshaugen closes this distance looking for a takedown but Nasukawa circles away. Vilheimshaugen shoots and misses and Nasukawa counters with a nice uppercut. Nasukawa works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Perrez fails with a takedown attempt. #TD# Perrez feints and as Nasukawa raises his hands in defense, Perrez changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Perrez loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Nasukawa avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Perrez postures up and lands a big shot to Nasukawa's brow. Perrez distracts Nasukawa with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Perrez postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Perrez missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Perrez working some strikes from top position. Perrez throwing strikes from guard but Nasukawa blocks nicely. Perrez scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! He has hold of a leg but Nasukawa is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Fiske persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Nasukawa looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Nasukawa knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Fiske on the ground. Fiske controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Nasukawa wants to sweep here but Fiske controlling him for the moment. Fiske advances position into side control! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. You can see the frustration on Nasukawa's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Nasukawa being controlled for a moment.
