Siriwat has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Alcala is landing a low percentage of strikes. Siriwat closes the distance but Alcala moves to the side and Alcala counters with a lovely shot to the body.#CL2# Siriwat rushes Alcala and presses him up against the ropes. Siriwat stalling in the clinch but Alcala improves position. #BC# Alcala breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Siriwat tries to clinch there but Alcala circles away.
Siriwat lands a nice looking kick to the body. Alcala takes a step back to recover. Siriwat loads up on a big right hand but Alcala slips the punch. Siriwat tries to clinch but Alcala moves out of range. Alcala comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Alcala throws a right and a left that both miss. Moraes with a nice cross. Alcala moves forwards but Moraes connects with a nice, crisp jab. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Moraes. Alcala walks into a straight right hand from Moraes. Leonardo Moraes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Moraes throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Moraes connects with the punch. Moraes takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Alcala looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Alcala fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Moraes checks it well. Moraes throws out a counter right but Alcala avoids it with no problem. Moraes lands a jab-cross combination. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Alcala looks to score with a jab to the body but Moraes is just out of range. Moraes swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Alcala is looking to take this fight into the clinch. #R1# Alcala throws a sloppy head kick and Van Roosmalen moves out of range easily. Alcala throws a leg kick and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Nice shot lands for Van Roosmalen. Van Roosmalen bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Alcala's head backwards. Van Roosmalen cracks Alcala with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Van Roosmalen throws a shot from downtown. Alcala moves away and avoids it. Nice jab there from Van Roosmalen. Alcala throws a series of punches but Van Roosmalen moves out of range. A left lands for Van Roosmalen. Van Roosmalen cracks Alcala with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Alcala looks to throw a body kick and Van Roosmalen counters with a lovely straight right hand! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Van Roosmalen keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Van Roosmalen catches Alcala with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Van Roosmalen lands a leg kick that knocks Alcala off balance momentarily. A head kick by Alcala misses and Van Roosmalen counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. A low kick from Alcala misses and Van Roosmalen cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.#ROC# Alcala is rocked! Alcala is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Van Roosmalen doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Alcala crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Alcala's bad books for that mishap!
