Quinones tries to bench press VanDam off him but VanDam keeps the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The referee asks VanDam politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. VanDam prefers to stall for the moment though. Quinones trying his best to control but VanDam has mounted him. Quinones gets back to half guard.#T1# VanDam not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. VanDam could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Quinones is doing well to control the position and prevent VanDam from advancing to side control. VanDam wants to lay and pray for a moment but Quinones keeps working. And that's the end of the fight! Shawn VanDam showed his dominance in that final round. Well VanDam has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

VanDam is trying to break the clinch but Peterson is controlling him.#TD2# VanDam is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Peterson can't fight it off and eventually VanDam manages to take the fight to the floor. Peterson looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.#SUB# Peterson looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but VanDam is defending well. Peterson quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! VanDam has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Peterson celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.

I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. VanDam connects with a nice short shot to Darley's temple. VanDam trying to mount his opponent but Darley defends it. VanDam is taking a breather. Darley says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. VanDam could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
