John is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. It looks like John might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Boyd could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.#REF3# The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Nice sprawl there from John as Boyd shoots in. Boyd avoids a kick to the body.

William John dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! #R2##TD2# John closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - John lands in his opponent's guard.#ROC2# Boyd is rocked! It's a sloppy attempt though and John jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. John arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Boyd's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
