Russo tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Holmes's elbow.
Holmes is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Russo to keep the fight standing.
Russo is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Holmes wants a takedown.
Russo is pressed up against the cage. Holmes has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Russo down to the mat. Russo avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
