Hernandez is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Hernandez won't allow Hayes to get back to his feet. Hayes is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Hayes wants to stand and escape but Hernandez is having none of it. Hernandez must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Hayes controls Hernandez momentarily but Hernandez frees himself. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hernandez loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Hayes is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Hernandez is controlling him. #REF3# The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Hernandez misses with a head kick.

Obidisson should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
