Chase throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Chase throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Wallace's waist but Wallace gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Chase off to one side. Chase looks for the body kick but Wallace saw that one coming. Chase has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Wallace is landing a low percentage of strikes. Chase throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Nice takedown defense from Wallace. No joy for Chase on that attempt. Wallace definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. William Wallace has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Felix Chase . Wallace throws a nice head kick!

"I don't think so" says Wallace as he avoids it easily. Wallace looks to land a combination. Chase sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! #R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chase tries for a takedown but Woodley sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Chase misses with a takedown and Woodley counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. A nice leg kick lands there from Woodley. Woodley thows a body kick. Chase tries to catch it but that hurt him. Chase misses with a body kick. Woodley tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Chase was well out of range. Poor timing from Woodley. Woodley misses with a low kick.
Woodley lands with an uppercut that bounces Chase off the cage and back into range. Chase is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Woodley. We've been hearing reports that Chase has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Woodley fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Chase takes one to the chin there. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Woodley leaves Chase with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Felix Chase . That's going to take a lot out of him. Chase fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Woodley avoids it really well and circles away. Stefano has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Chase closes the distance but Stefano moves to the side and Stefano counters with a straight right hand. Chase misses with a takedown and Stefano counters with a straight right hand. Chase is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Chase drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Chase will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Chase dives in and grabs Stefano's left leg, looking for a takedown. Stefano pushes down on Chase 's head and hops out. A little jabbing left from Stefano on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Felix Chase . That's going to take a lot out of him. Chase shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Stefano pinned against the cage. Stefano gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. #R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chase shoots and misses and Road counters with a nice uppercut. Road feints and then cracks Chase 's leading leg with a nice low kick. We've been told by Ragnarok's head coaches at Redfist MMA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Chase gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Ragnarok. Chase darts in looking for a takedown but Ragnarok gets double underhooks and turns Chase into the ropes. Chase with a poor takedown letting Ragnarok counter with a right hand. Bore Ragnarok has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Felix Chase . Ragnarok misses with a double jab.
Chase throws a nice looking combination but Ragnarok bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Ragnarok tests Chase 's chin there with a solid looking shot.
