Garth is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. Nash looks winded! Garth stalls. #TD# Garth wants the takedown. Nash is fighting it off but Garth persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Nash's guard against the cage. Garth trying to control the position from guard on top but Nash is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Garth is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Garth works over Nash with some ground and pound from guard. Nash really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Garth. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.#T1# Nash keeping moving, preventing Garth from controlling successfully. #R1##TD2# Garth drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Garth throwing strikes but Nash manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control! Nash controlling the position. Garth wants to control but Nash postures up. Nash tries to stand but Garth is controlling his head. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Garth can do anything to dispel that myth. Garth tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad. Nash scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Garth?
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Nash cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.#SUB# Nash is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Garth to tap using a forearm choke. #R1# Nash is looking to clinch. #TD# Garth gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Nash to score an easy takedown into full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Nash stays in close to Garth's body and controls the position. Garth wants to sweep but no luck. Garth is trying to control the position but Nash postures up. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Garth is on top in guard.
#REVB# We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Garth controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Nash is controlling Garth's posture.#T1# Garth trying to control but Nash is working from the bottom. #SUB# Nash escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Garth softens up his opponent with a couple of shots there and then CRACK! One massive shot lands there and Nash is out cold! Garth jumps to his feet and celebrates on the cage with the fans, who are, quite frankly, going absolutely mental!
