#CL2# Wood rushes Pallero and presses him up against the cage. Wood lands with a light punch inside. Pallero is looking for a takedown. Wood softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.#ROC2#Pallero is rocked! Pallero has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Wood after a bit of a struggle. Oh Pallero is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Wood scores with a hook to the body. Wood unloads a knee to the mid-section. Pallero is breathing heavily. A short left from Wood. Wood jerks Pallero's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Pallero drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Wood goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Wood because Pallero was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.

#R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zutis uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Wood. Wood throws a body shot but no joy. Wood moves out of range as Zutis throws a body kick.

Zutis tries for a takedown but Wood circles away easily and Wood counters with a lovely straight right hand!#CUT2#It looks like Kristaps Zutis has been cut. Wood lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Zutis slips under a jab from Wood. Zutis throws a big counter combination but Wood scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Bayden Wood seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.#KD2# Wood feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Zutis sprawling to the canvas! Zutis rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Wood finish him?!
#ROC2#Zutis is rocked! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!#CL2# Wood has managed to clinch.
Oh Zutis is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Wood makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. We've been hearing reports that Zutis has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. A right hand to the body from Wood.

#R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway!#CL# Wood moves into the clinch. Wood lands a shoulder strike. Wood misses with a knee to the head. Wood gets through Zutis's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Wood scores with a nice hook to the head.#BC2# Zutis manages to break the clinch.
Wood stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Wood wants it to stay on the feet. It looked like Wood wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Zutis is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. A looping hook to the body misses from Wood. Zutis does a little dance to reset his feet.#TD2# Zutis shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Zutis was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Wood is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Zutis's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Wood wants to control but Zutis is keeping busy and won't allow it. Wood is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control. Zutis really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wood. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Zutis is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

and Guy counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Wood throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Wood takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Guy's coach down at Cozad Amsterdam was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Guy's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Wood sizes up Guy with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Wood paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Wood misses with a series of wild punches.
Guy now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Wood has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Iron mikes mma in the buildup to the fight. Wood staying out of range there. Wood swings for the body but Guy moves out of range.
Wood tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wood swings widly with a right hand

Solis has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Wood with an attempt at a knee that misses.

He's landed in Wood's guard.#SUB2# Stoner got a little sloppy there for a moment and Wood has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Stoner has managed to get both his arms back between Wood's legs - danger averted. Stoner postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Stoner is working Wood over from the guard.
