Cook shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Vance is trying to defend but Cook finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Vance has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Cook is working away from the top position though.
Cook content to control rather than advance.
Cook throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Vance throws a sloppy strike from the bottom. He's now off balance and Cook manages to pass to side control.
Vance is trying to work for a sweep but Cook has mounted him!#T1#

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee warns Vance that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Cook lands a big shot there that rocks Vance but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cook trying to control but Vance is having none of it.

It looks like Hobert Vance has been cut.
Cook postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Vance bigstyle! Two more strikes land for Cook and the fight is over!
