Hughes rushes Cardinal and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Cardinal tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Hughes just stands there and leans against the cage.
Hughes has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Cardinal is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Hughes is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Cardinal has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Hughes is looking to defend but Cardinal has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Hughes! Cardinal pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Hughes taps out and this one is all over!

Hughes has managed to clinch.
Hughes jumps guard but Tomas stands there with Hughes around his waist. Hughes gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Hughes drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Tomas gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Tomas tries for a takedown but Hughes manages to get underhooks.
Hughes is trying to break the clinch but Tomas is controlling him.
Hughes jumps guard but Tomas turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Archie Hughes. That's going to take a lot out of him.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Let's hope that Tomas has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Hughes lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Chartrand at a distance.
Chartrand throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

and Chartrand counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Hughes uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Chartrand.
Hughes throws a looping overhand right but Chartrand ducks down to avoid it.

Chartrand ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Hughes's jaw. Hughes's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Chartrand does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.

A very excited looking Dustin Chartrand rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.

Hughes wants to advance to full mount but Hype doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. #SUB2#
Hype has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Hughes doesn't defend quickly enough and Hype has managed to lock this one up! Can Hughes escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Hype on a fantastic submission victory.

Williams ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Williams throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
No luck for Hughes with that takedown attempt.
Williams looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Williams fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Hughes looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Williams swings for the body but Hughes moves out of range.
Williams looks to throw the jab but Hughes is out of range.
Hughes seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Hughes tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Williams ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hughes moves away.

Williams throws a nice looking combination but Hughes bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Hughes went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Williams looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Hughes finds himself stumbling back on wobbly legs after being clipped by a right hand. He's up against the cage, ducking and weaving under Williams's strikes but an uppercut finds it's way through and Hughes falls! - He's completely out of it and the ref jumps in to save him!
