#R1# Artois fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Lima seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.#TD# A momentary lapse in concentration from Artois enables Lima to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Artois manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Lima stands up over Artois, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Artois has momentary wrist control but Lima slips an elbow through the middle. Lima is looking to stand up but Artois won't let him. Lima won't allow Artois to sweep him here. Lima showing good wrestling skills to control the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Artois trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Artois is looking to stand up but Lima isn't so interested in that idea. #T1# Artois has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Lima has passed into side control.
Artois tries to bench press Lima off him but Lima keeps the position. Lima working the ground and pound. Artois can't do much from the bottom here. Artois wants to get back to his feet. Artois takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Possibly, maybe, no Lima has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! #SUB# Lima looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. #T2# Lima wants to lay and pray for a moment but Artois keeps working. Artois is trying to control Lima's posture but Lima avoids it. Lima lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Artois down.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Artois is trying to improve his position. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Artois is trying to work for a sweep but Lima has mounted him! Lima sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. #T3# Lima cracks Artois with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Lima has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.#SUB# Lima looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Lima content just to control the position here. Lima can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Artois is looking to escape. Artois tries to hold on but Lima postures up.#T4##SUB# Lima with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
#SUB# Lima is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Artois has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Lima pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Lima connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
#SUB# Lima goes for an armbar but Artois turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Artois. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.#SUB# Lima has his foot on Artois's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Artois works his way back into a safe position though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rodrigo Lima dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! #R2##TD2# Artois scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Artois tries to stand but Lima controls the position and pulls Artois into his guard. #SUB# Artois avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Lima decides he's had enough of all that nonsense - he escapes his hips and locks up an armbar! Wow, that was slick! Artois taps! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
