#R1# Mugamedov fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Waltz avoids it really well and circles away. Waltz displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Mugamedov changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Waltz tries to avoid it but Mugamedov manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Waltz to the ground. Waltz escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Mugamedov clobbers Waltz with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. #TD2# Waltz decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Mugamedov on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Mugamedov tries to get out of the position.#SUB# Mugamedov actively working from the bottom here.#SUB2# Waltz is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Mugamedov has managed to free his arm - good work. Waltz has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Mugamedov is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Island Conditioning , so we'll see if he gets out of it.#T1# Mugamedov is squirming around, avoiding Waltz's attempts to control the action. Waltz pulls Mugamedov in close to his closed guard and prevents Mugamedov from doing any damage or advancing position. Mugamedov in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. #T2# Waltz has momentary wrist control but Mugamedov slips an elbow through the middle. Mugamedov scoring with some ground and pound. Waltz bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Mugamedov's guard. #REVB# Waltz trying to control the position from guard on top but Mugamedov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Waltz is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.#SUB# Mugamedov has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Waltz can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Waltz showing good wrestling skills to control the position. #T3##SU2# Waltz stands up and waves to Mugamedov to follow him. #TD2# Waltz shoots in and bounces Mugamedov off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Waltz is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Waltz flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Mugamedov is nestled in close to Waltz, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.#T1# Mugamedov working over Waltz with some ground and pound. Waltz looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Mugamedov scores with a big shot! Waltz's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Waltz! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!

After the fight, Abib Mugamedov was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
